Sean Brown is not going to start for Tennessee football this year. Dominick Wood-Anderson has too much potential as a senior in the lineup, and Jim Chaney is going to use him as much as possible. Meanwhile, Austin Pope has a healthy level of versatility that allows him to be the No. 2 guy at the position, and he could line up at fullback or tight end.

As a result, we have Brown down on this list. However, he’s not as far down as the other three guys because of how thin the tight end spot is after that first string. This offseason, Eli Wolf transferred and James Brown had to give up playing football.

That leaves this position open for some talent, and Brown is a three-star from Georgia who stands at 6’5″ 230 pounds and could work his way into the two-deep depth chart. Nobody else is proven at the position.

What hurts him is he’s not the only tight end in this class. Jackson Lowe, another three-star tight end from Georgia, was an early enrollee, so we have to say he currently has a leg up on Brown. For now, that keeps him down here, as there’s no evidence of him having a shot to work his way into the rotation.
