As we get closer and closer to the official start of summer, the Tennessee Vols news is slowly and finally beginning to get a bit thinner. However, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t crucial things still happening.

Our morning update on Rocky Top actually leads with women’s basketball, though. We have scheduling news to bring you. Following that, we have another major story about the MLB Draft and its relation to UT.

So, as you can see, football and men’s basketball were clearly light on news today. But there are still things going on. Tennessee women’s basketball released its non-conference slate for head coach Kellie Harper’s first season. Their schedule includes road games against the East Tennessee State Buccaneers, Stanford Cardinal, Portland State Vikings. Home opponents include the Central Arkansas Sugar Bears, Tennessee State Tigers, Stetson Hatters, Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions, Air Force Falcons, Texas Longhorns, Colorado State Rams and Howard Bison. Their most notable matchups are a home game against the Texas Longhorns, and road games against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the UCONN Huskies, whom they have renewed their rivalry with.

"The previously announced road matchup with Connecticut is set for Jan. 23. The Huskies will make the trip to Knoxville during the 2020-21 season. To accommodate the addition of the Huskies in January, the game with Notre Dame was moved to Nov. 11. That game will be held in South Bend with Notre Dame coming to Knoxville in the 2020-21 season."
