The Tennessee Vols summer enrollees receiving their jersey numbers and Jordan Bone at another workout lead our Volunteers news for Friday, June 7, 2019.

Welcome to the first Friday in June. The Tennessee Vols have tons of news surrounding the program right now to get you ready for the weekend despite the fact that only one official sport is still going on.

However, our morning update on Rocky Top leads with new developments surrounding the summer enrollees in football. We also have new surrounding NBA pre-draft workouts for a Vol basketball player.

On top of that, All-American honors in baseball and track and field, the latter of which is related to ongoing postseason play, is on the slate. The same is true for scheduling in another sport. So there’s a lot to get to. Let’s start with the football enrollees.

Defensive lineman Savion Williams will share No. 50 with Lampley, while fellow junior college transfer Darel Middleton is No. 97 and Elijah Simmons, the third member of the incoming defensive line class, will wear No. 51. Outside linebacker Roman Harrison will wear No. 30, and defensive backs Aaron Beasley and Kenney Solomon will wear Nos. 24 and 31, respectively."
