Former Vols basketball player Admiral Schofield is making his rounds working out for multiple NBA teams. Most recently he spent time in Indiana with the Pacers.

Admiral Schofield is going to be selected in the 2019 NBA Draft on June 20th. But, the mystery is where he will go. Can he sneak into the first round? If not, how high can he go in the second round? The Philadelphia 76ers do have the third and fourth picks in the second round.

Schofield has been making his rounds with NBA teams and has done his fair share of impressing the guys that make the decisions. Maybe, more importantly, he’s saying all the right things to set himself as a solid role player in a lineup next season.

Last week Schofield spent time with the Indiana Pacers who have the 18th pick in the first round and the 20th pick in the second round, 50th overall. Here are a few things Schofield said after the workout.

Admiral was asked how the day went, and here is what he had to say, “It was competitive. I think I showed them the way I can play the game by getting guys open.” He also went on to say, “I was able to show his defensive skills.”

While Tennessee depended on Schofield to carry a lot of the scoring load, he was able to draw a lot of attention and helped him get his teammates involved. When the defense slacked off, Schofield was able to burn them from deep where he shot 42 percent from the three-point line.

One of the best things Schofield said in a post-workout interview was what he could bring to the Pacers. He said, “I’m a winner.” Again, he isn’t wrong.

It took two seasons but Schofield’s junior and senior seasons Tennessee was one of the most impressive teams in the nation.

It’s up in the air where Schofield will land. Vol Nation is keeping their fingers crossed in hopes of having Peanut Butter and Jelly together on an NBA roster. Maybe, just maybe, it will happen. Either way, Schofield will surely get drafted and make an impact on a team next season.
