Top prospects for Vols at Safety

Rishard Densmore; 3-star

6’1″ 196 lbs; Bessemer, Ala.; Bessemer City High School

We’ve put Rishard Densmore on three of our recruiting stories. He could play receiver, running back or defensive back. With that athletic skill, it’s likely he would play safety. Tennessee football is competing with the Mississippi State Bulldogs, Nebraska Cornhuskers and UAB Blazers for him, and with no official favorites, the Vols are a near unanimous favorite on the Rivals FanFutureCast.

Mike Harris; 3-star

6’0″ 175 lbs; Phoenix City, Ala.; Central High School

Yes, there are lots of Alabama prospects here. Mike Harris is a three-star looking at the Vols, the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Arkansas Razorbacks, the LSU Tigers and the Mississippi State Bulldogs. With no official predictions, LSU is the Rivals FanFutureCast favorite by a majority. So UT will have to fight for him, but he’d be a solid pickup.

Jimmy Holiday; 3-star

6’1″ 180 lbs; Flora, Miss.; Madison Central High School

From Alabama to Mississippi, Jimmy Holliday is another athlete. And the Vols are competing with the Kansas Jayhawks, the TCU Horned Frogs, the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Ole Miss Rebels to land him. Ole Miss is the unanimous favorite for him on the Rivals FutureCast and 247Sports Crystal Ball, while Kansas is the favorite by a plurality on the Rivals FanFutureCast.

Mordecai McDaniel; 3-star

6’1″ 195 lbs; Washington, D.C.; St. John’s College High School

Mordecai McDaniel would be a big pickup for the Vols if they want to establish a DMV pipeline. He’s got good size at 6’1″ 195 pounds for a safety and is down to the Vols, Florida Gators and Penn State Nittany Lions. Again, there are no official predictions yet, but UT is the favorite by a slight majority on the Rivals FanFutureCast.
