There were many comments at SEC Media Days from the other 13 schools’ coaches and players that relate to the Tennessee Volunteers. Here are five takeaways.

SEC Media Days for 2019 is in the books, and the preseason is underway for Tennessee football. It was your typical week for media days, but there was tons of news related to the Vols, and it wasn’t all from things they said at the podium.

Things said all week by different coaches, players and officials are all relevant to Rocky Top as well. Hey, that’s what the event is about, anyway, isn’t it? We want to get everything we can about the upcoming season in the league.

This year’s SEC Media Days didn’t answer all or even most questions about Rocky Top, but it did provide some interesting moments that were worth paying attention to for Vols fans. And they need to pay attention to all of them.

In this post, we’re going to use those quotes to talk about what we learned from the event in relation to UT. This is analysis of quotes from everybody but the Vols who took the podium that still relate to the Vols.

Some things speak to the overall state of UT within the conference, but others were fun points of shade. It’s all fun to talk about during the heart of the summer with the start of the season a month and a half away.

Considering the fact that Jeremy Pruitt tried to go out of his way to give details on the program, some of the things other people said made the event much more worth it. Coaches are always more fun when they give more detail about their programs and how they feel about others.

So what was said in Hoover, Ala. that the Tennessee Vols football program should take notice of? Who created the most fireworks. Let’s take a look here with our five takeaways from SEC Media Days in relation to the Vols based on what other people said.
