If all the issues on Tennessee football’s offensive line open the door for Jackson Lampley to get into the top five of this list, it’s certainly going to open the door for a four-star recruit who was an early enrollee to make the list. And that’s where Chris Akporoghene comes into play.

Akporoghene was one of two early enrollee offensive linemen, and he brings with him a ton of potential as well. Coming from Nigeria, he’s clearly a guy recruited for massive potential. However, that potential was fine-tuned somewhat due to his time at IMG Academy in high school. That gives him a great chance to make an impact.

One thing that puts Akporoghene high on this list in addition to being a highly-rated offensive lineman who was an early enrollee is the fact that coaches are also looking at him to play nose tackle. The desperation on the defensive side of the ball could result in Akporoghene moving over there.

Taking that into account, Akporoghene has two chances at getting into a rotation, and with the coaches giving a look at him on one side due to their own desperation, he may be getting more serious consideration than we’re even aware of. So he clearly belongs high up on this list.
