Numerous Tennessee football players made tremendous strides during fall camp. Here are the 10 biggest winners for the Volunteers entering 2019.

Jeremy Pruitt has released the depth chart for the Vols’ Saturday opener against the Georgia State Panthers. Now, fall camp is officially in the books for Tennessee football, and the season is now underway.

But before things kick off, let’s do a quick recap of the preseason. From injuries to unfortunate arrests to eligibility updates, or lack thereof, this past August has actually been a big disastrous on Rocky Top given the fact that they are a team still trying to rebuild.

Still, from disaster often times comes opportunity. And Tennessee football has still had quite a few guys emerge throughout this fall camp. A few other guys were able to hold off potential surges, which was good news for them as well.

Who are these players? In this post, we’re going to break them all down. These are the guys who gained the most in fall camp. They either had competition for a starting job they were the favorite for to begin the camp and held it off, or they surged up the depth chart and turned heads throughout the camp.

Yes, injuries and suspensions also helped some of them. Fair or not, this is a sport of competition, and that comes into play with guys trying to see the field. So we will take that into account for players at specific units. Eligibility issues will also be a part of it.

However, all of these players were able to get on this list due to their own merit. Even if they had outside help, they earned recognition from the coaches. These aren’t the biggest stars on the team, but they have now raised expectations for themselves entering the season.

Also, since they are fall camp winners, we’re going to leave off winners from spring ball. They already earned their way into a rotation. So let’s break down who the rest of the guys are. These are Tennessee football’s 10 biggest winners from fall camp.
