Is there any doubt about this one? Just like Brent Cimaglia, Jauan Jennings has done his part for Tennessee football two weeks in a row, even if everybody else around him has come up short in one way or another.

Jennings did it again against the BYU Cougars. He caught the first touchdown of the game, and it was off a tipped pass by Jarrett Guarantano that should have been intercepted. But that was Jennings doing Jennings things, pulling magic plays out of a hat where there never should have been one in the first place.

Then, Jennings caught the only other touchdown of the game for the Vols as well, in the first overtime, when they were down by a touchdown. Once again, he came through in the big moments when he was needed. By the way, one of the touchdowns was on 4th down, and the other was on 3rd and 10.

For the game, Jennings finished with four receptions, racking up 88 yards and two touchdowns. He now has 11 receptions for 196 yards and three touchdowns in just two games this season, showing why he’s so great.

Very few people have the emotion that Jennings has, and Tennessee football feeds off it. Their only problem right now is mental errors and not enough people bringing what Jennings does. But Jennings was definitely this game’s top player for the Vols. Nobody can debate that.
