Tennessee football: Vols, SEC, top 25 predictions for Week Three of 2019
A home game against an FCS team for Tennessee football leads our Volunteers, Southeastern Conference and top 25 predictions for Week Three.
Well, it was a horrible week once again for Tennessee football. But they helped make you rich if you paid attention to our gambling picks last week. Well, they did at least if you listened to them and all of our gambling picks.
Last week was a weekend of thrillers when it came to the spread. Jimbo Fisher calling two timeouts allowed the Texas A&M Aggies to beat the spread. The Alabama Crimson Tide not scoring in the fourth quarter kept them from covering.
Meanwhile, Tennessee football obviously had its own collapse that allowed the game to hit the over in overtime. So it was just a crazy week all around. Here’s a recap of our epic week in our predictions overall, including straight-up and gambling.
Record for Week Two predictions straight-up: 11-2
Gambling Record: 16-4
Against the spread: 8-2
On the Over/Under: 8-2
After a horrible first week, this is is an amazing rebound. We did what the Vols couldn’t do in that regard. And it’s had an impact on what we’re doing overall. Let’s take a look at our straight-up and gambling predictions now for the season.
Record for Week One predictions straight-up: 21-5
Gambling Record: 25-18-1
Against the spread: 13-8-1
On the Over/Under: 12-10
And just like that, we’re back over 52 percent, hitting the profit that you want in sports gambling. So what about this week when it comes to our predictions? Well, there’s one more boring week of football before the fun starts.
Unfortunately, there are no top 25 games out there for us to pick this week. So, for the third straight week, we’ll be picking all SEC games. It’s funny, when you think about it, that people say the SEC plays nobody, but every non-conference game featuring two top 25 teams this year has involved an SEC team so far.
This week, though, we have 11 regular SEC games. Two feature two SEC teams playing each other. But, as we said, there are no games featuring two top 25 teams. And it gets even duller when you break it down further.
We have very few gambling picks to bring you, even if we have straight-up predictions, because five of the games this week on our list feature an SEC team against an FCS team, including the Vols, and we don’t do gambling picks for those games. So this is going to be one awful week.
But at least there are two SEC games. As always, we’ll go in order of the games and finish with Rocky Top’s outing. So here are our Week Three predictions for Tennessee football and every other team in the conference.
