It’s a little scary how much the Georgia Bulldogs are dominating teams right now. Technically, they have a Power Five victory, but since it’s over the Vanderbilt Commodores, it’s not enough for us to put them at the top of our SEC Power Rankings. They need a bit more of a splash victory before we can move them up the list.

However, the way Kirby Smart’s team has absolutely demolished its first three opponents makes UGA look like the most complete team in the league, and yes we mean that over the top two teams. So they are still in this top tier, a tier that at this point almost all the undefeated teams belong in.

The Dawgs haven’t missed a beat offensively after the departure of Jim Chaney, but nobody is putting up huge stats because they’re able to go so deep when they play everybody. The one thing they need now is a signature quality win, as they’ve had the easiest schedule to this point of any of the undefeated teams in the league.

That chance comes this week. Georgia will host the No. 7 ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish in a huge non-conference game. Should they win, they’ll head to the by 4-0 before visiting the Tennessee Vols and hosting the South Carolina Gamecocks and Kentucky Wildcats.
