Tennessee football at Florida: Five Gators to watch for against Vols
We would have put Jabari Zuniga on here, as he is the anchor for a Florida Gators defense that already has 16 sacks on the year with three of his own. But Zuniga’s health is questionable, so we’re going to put the guy in the middle that makes every thing go for Dan Mullen and Todd Grantham, Kyree Campbell.
The defensive tackle already has a sack, a forced fumble and three tackles for a loss on the year as part of his 13 tackles overall. He was huge against the Miami Hurricanes, coming up with his one sack on the year along with two tackles for a loss and a forced fumble. But against the Kentucky Wildcats, he also had a tackle for a loss.
So Campbell is coming through in the big games so far, and now he is facing a Tennessee football offensive line that is struggling significantly on the inside. This could get ugly fast, and it’s why Jeremy Pruitt taking so long to find a five-man rotation up front has been incredibly problematic. Brandon Kennedy, Trey Smith and probably Darnell Wright need to be ready.
Campbell can blow up plays and is the starting point for the entire Florida pass rush that has proven itself to be so lethal through three games this season. There’s a reason they had 10 sacks against Miami. If they need him, he can help them deliver something like that again.
