Saturday afternoon’s Tennessee football matchup with the Florida Gators leads our Volunteers, SEC and top 25 predictions for Week Four of 2019.

Well the first Tennessee football win of the season came at a price for us. We apologize to anybody who took our advice. If you got rich following it last week and then came back to us, you lost everything.

While the previous week involved lots of thrillers related to the spread, this past weekend had lots of thrillers related to the over/under. But we came out on the negative side of the spread and the over/under, even if our straight-up picks were solid.

At least Tennessee football made it a quiet week for once. But our gambling picks took a major hit. In fact, it may have been the most brutal weekend we ever had since doing the picks. It was simply bad. Here’s a look at how we did last week.

Record for Week Three predictions straight-up: 9-2

Gambling Record:  2-10

Against the spread: 1-5

On the Over/Under: 1-5

Yeah, that’s right. We got one right on both fronts. That last unnecessary Florida touchdown along with Kansas State’s fourth quarter killed us. And all Arkansas State had to do was score once! If those three things had worked out differently, we would have at least gone 5-5. Anyway, here’s what it’s done to our results for the year so far.

Overall record for predictions straight-up: 30-7

Gambling Record: 27-28-1

Against the spread: 14-13-1

On the Over/Under: 13-15

As you can see, we’re back under water. But now is the time to pick things up. Last week was one filled with FCS games, and there were no matchups featuring two top 25 teams. This week, however, that’s a different story.

We have one non-SEC game to bring you featuring two top 25 teams. Meanwhile, there are nine other games involving SEC schools. Two of those involve two top 25 teams, including one featuring an SEC team against a non-conference opponent and one featuring two SEC teams. Overall, we have five games involving two SEC teams.

The combination of those factors makes for 10 games overall we are going to predict. No SEC team has a bye this week. So this is where the excitement begins. As usual, we’ll pick the games in the order of which they are scheduled and close out with the Vols. These are our Week Four Tennessee football, SEC and top 25 predictions.
