No. 4 LSU Tigers at Vanderbilt Commodores

Line: LSU -24; Over/Under: 62.5; TV: SEC Network

Saturday, Sept. 21 at Noon E.T.; Vanderbilt Stadium; Nashville, Tenn.

Nobody is rolling quite like the LSU Tigers right now. They have the best quality win of any team in the SEC, on the road against the Texas Longhorns, and they have blown out their other two opponents, including a dangerous triple-option team in the Georgia Southern Eagles.

This offense has become fun to watch under Joe Burrow. LSU has dropped 55, 45 and 54 points. They are dominating, and it’s hard to see anybody slowing down the unit at this point. Coach O with an elite offense and Dave Aranda still calling plays for the defense makes for a dangerous team overall.

Meanwhile, after an early bye week, the Vanderbilt Commodores are just barely holding off Tennessee football in the race for the worst team in the SEC. At 0-2, their loss to the Georgia Bulldogs was forgivable, but getting blown out by the Purdue Boilermakers was not. So what does that mean for them on Saturday?

Prediction

This will be a bloodbath. LSU will score at will against a very questionable Vandy defense, and the ‘Dores will fall to 0-3 with criticisms reaching breaking point for Derek Mason’s program. Bet on the Tigers to cover. The only question is if Vanderbilt scores enough for the game to hit the over. Our call is that won’t happen. LSU wins, but take the under.

LSU: 48 Vanderbilt: 7 (LSU -24; Under 62.5)
