Heading into its bye week, Tennessee football is in a recession. Here is a look at the Volunteers’ stock report following a 34-3 loss to the Florida Gators.

If there were truly a stock market to analyze Tennessee football right now, it would be borderline on a Great Depression. Things are looking horrible for the Vols after a horrific loss to the Florida Gators to drop them to 1-3 on the season.

With the bye week here, Rocky Top clearly has a lot of things to work on. They have yet to beat an FBS program, and two of their losses are to Group of Five schools. It is certainly the ugliest start in decades for the program.

But is there any part of Tennessee football to believe in at this moment? Does hope come in any form? Or is it all a complete disaster. Well, there may be a glimmer of hope in some areas, and it even showed over the weekend.

Some parts of the team actually are trending upward. Don’t get me wrong, it’s easy to look at the negatives at the moment, and they are far and wide. But the positives are there if you look hard enough for them.

As we get set to bring you our stock report, we’ll take a look at those few positives. They are a bit more specific than the negatives, for obvious reasons, and some things are simply static. But there is a good bit of analysis to spread around on the Vols at this moment.

Maybe with a week off, they can begin to minimize the areas of severe struggle that have shown so far. One of the hard parts about us naming stocks to sell is the fact that UT doesn’t have much stock of value at this moment to begin with.

Still, we’ll do our best to break it all down. And maybe things will tick upward in a couple of weeks. Here is our Tennessee football stock report following the Vols’ 34-3 loss to the Florida Gators in Week Four of the 2019 season.
