Tennessee football vs. Georgia: Five Bulldogs to watch for against Vols
Again, the Georgia Bulldogs are loaded all over the defensive side of the ball. They have a mix of elite young guys from their historically great recruiting classes and veterans who are now experienced playing for Kirby Smart. Tyler Clark joins the other defensive guys as a key veteran on this list and the top defensive lineman who can make plays.
At 6’4″ 300 pounds, Clark already has two and a half tackles for a loss and one and a half sacks on the year. He also has 11 tackles overall. The whole unit up front could be on this list, similar to the players in the passing game and the linebackers. But we chose Clark because of his veteran presence and his overall stats across the board so far this year.
Tennessee football also has notable issues on the offensive line, particularly when it comes to interior blocking. That makes them extremely vulnerable to a player like Clark. Jeremy Pruitt did say the unit played its best game against the Florida Gators, and there has been notable improvement over the past few weeks.
If they took another leap forward after the bye, then it would be a huge boost for them as they try to contain Clark. But even the smallest of issues could allow Clark to be a major playmaker, and that’s the last thing the Vols want. As a result, he’s a major concern for them.
