10. Response of Tennessee football crowd from Georgia fans’ trolling

We’ve all heard the news of Georgia Bulldogs fans wanting to Checker Neyland in red and black this weekend. They are taking advantage of Vols fans’ apathy, or in some cases outright boycott, of their team after the 1-3 start. There is a good chance that Neyland Stadium is short on UT fans in a nationally televised SEC home game Saturday night.

Nothing could get more embarrassing. Maybe that could be just enough to rally Vol fans to fill the stadium and go out of their way to make this a true home game once again. Hey, the fans showed up for the BYU Cougars and were loud just a week after their team lost at home to the Georgia State Panthers in embarrassing fashion.

Georgia’s only road game so far this year was in Week One against the Vanderbilt Commodores. And that was basically a home game because of the way UGA fans traveled to Nashville to fill up that Stadium, which isn’t a huge stadium anyway.

It’s a completely different animal on Rocky Top, when you’re facing 100,000 fans of the other team at night. This will be the first experience for Kirby Smart’s team on the year, and it could give the Vols an advantage, but it will depend on whether or not the fans show up.

To be fair, UT fans should not be scolded if they don’t counter what Georgia is trying to do. Jeremy Pruitt’s team has given them nothing to cheer on so far this year. But if they do counter it, the Vols might have enough to rattle UGA.
