Another Rick Barnes press conference ahead of a Tennessee Vols men’s basketball practice leads our Volunteers news for Friday, Oct. 4, 2019.

Welcome to the first Friday in October. Things may be rough for the Tennessee Vols football program at the moment, but at least the Fall is here, and all the fun that comes with that season can still be enjoyed.

On top of that, we have a soccer recognition story to bring you along with a preview of volleyball and tennis matchups happening this weekend. So there’s a good bit of news not involving football ahead of UT’s showdown with the Georgia Bulldogs. Let’s start with the basketball news.
