After beating Mississippi State, the Tennessee Volunteers finally made a jump in the Southeastern Conference. Here are our Week Seven SEC Power Rankings.

Finally, Tennessee football has something to celebrate. After a huge win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs, their spot in our SEC Power Rankings could be a bit intriguing. And Jeremy Pruitt just may have this team on the right track after all.

But they aren’t the only ones who created drama in the league. There were actually a couple of major upsets that took place over the weekend along with a bit of a surprise in a close game. And one game featured two undefeated teams in the top tier of the league.

As a result, our SEC Power Rankings underwent a dramatic change for the first time all year. Tiers have changed, and for at least one week, things have been thrown completely for a loop. When you have 12 teams in the league playing each other, that’s going to happen.

There are still five legitimate teams in the national title picture, but they may not be the five teams in our ranking this week. Meanwhile, six teams are still in the top 25, but one of the teams is new while one from last week dropped out. There are four top 10 teams and two top five teams.

What’s clear, though, is who the top two teams in the league are, and they appear to be on a collision course for a huge November showdown. But there are lots of other epic games between now and then, as we have reached the halfway point of the regular season.

Simply put, last weekend’s games finally made the league race interesting. And it sets up a showdown for an epic second half of the season in terms of the fight to win the conference and the fight to make a bowl game.

So where do they all stand now? Who had the biggest leap and the biggest fall? What does it mean the rest of the way? Let’s take a look here. These are our SEC Power Rankings following Week Seven of the 2019 college football season.
