Senior. Tavien Feaster. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Running Back. 4. 850

It’s all on Tavien Feaster Saturday. Wide receiver Bryan Edwards has been the surprise star for the South Carolina Gamecocks, and Rico Dowdle is the known commodity as the other running back. But both players are banged up and questionable for the showdown at Neyland, leaving Feaster as the only weapon who can do anything for Will Muschamp’s offense.

The passing game certainly won’t get going with Edwards banged up and Ryan Hilinski still making the throws. So Feaster, the Clemson Tigers transfer who is the team’s leading rusher, will be looking to step up and be the star. Even if he struggles early, you can bet South Carolina will sell out to keep giving him the ball.

That puts the pressure on Tennessee football’s defensive front to be as impactful as it has been the past two weeks. Their line has gotten significantly better, and with Daniel Bituli and Henry To’o To’o both back in at linebacker, they have no excuse not to be ready for Feaster.

What’s scary for the Vols, though, is that as they have developed up front, Feaster has gotten better. For the year, he has 492 yards and four touchdowns on 82 carries, averaging six yards a carry, along with 64 receiving yards. But he just came off 175 yards against the Florida Gators, two games after getting 107 against the Kentucky Wildcats. So he’s getting more dangerous.
