New head coach Kellie Harper has lots of new talent for the 2019-2020 Tennessee Lady Vols. Here is our women’s basketball Volunteers depth chart projection.

One day before they take the court as a team for the first time in 2019-2020 for an exhibition game, the Tennessee Lady Vols have to be in the final stages of working to replace some key talent from last year. And they have to be in the final stages of adjusting to Kellie Harper, who takes over for Holly Warlick.

A team that lost three starters and four of its top six rotational players has lots of new talent to work with. They return one of their best players, to be fair, and another key transfer from last year has returned to health.

Add in four new recruits and a junior college transfer, and they lost four key players while adding six. So the Tennessee Lady Vols are looking much deeper this year than they have been in recent years, and many of their top players are very young.

So with a new head coach, will experience outweigh potential? That’s just one of the major questions for Harper. We also question whether or not she will play small and if she has found somebody to run the point.

As we get set to bring you a look at what we think the two-deep depth chart will be for UT, we break all of those things down. We’ll list all five positions and the projected starter and backup at those positions.

Obviously, some players who could be key will be left out with that breakdown. But a roster with only 12 players means only two will be left out, and we’ll list where they could sneak their way into the rotation.

Yes, the excitement of Halloween comes with the thrill of all four sports being in play, and that even applies somewhat to college basketball. So let’s break down the women’s side of things. These are our 2019-2020 Tennessee Lady Vols two-deep depth chart projections.
