Scouting Report. Senior. player. 839. Pick Analysis. Safety. Nigel Warrior. 5

There’s one clear way to beat the UAB Blazers, and it’s to force Tyler Johnston III to throw lots of interceptions. UAB as a team has thrown 11 interceptions on the year, and they are among the five teams in the nation with the most interceptions thrown per game. Johnston himself has 10 of those interceptions.

Meanwhile, Tennessee football as a team is tied for No. 10 in the nation with 10 interceptions on the year, and their leading man at picking the ball is Nigel Warrior, who has three picks. Despite the fact that he struggled with a couple of lapses last week while the unit as a whole didn’t get a pick, Warrior is still the best on the team at forcing turnovers.

As a result, Warrior will be critical to the Vols getting a win on Saturday. UT will need him to mess up as many passes as possible, and it is indeed possible to wreck UAB in the passing game. That’s how the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers got the best of them with four interceptions.

Warrior will have to be effective like that. It’s certainly possible. And he’s due for a bounce-back week. After all, his elite play was the reason the Vols beat the Mississippi State Bulldogs, and he could also help in lots of ways to contain the UAB rushing attack. His versatility combined with the matchup put him on this list.
