Postgame media comments from the Tennessee Vols’ 30-7 win over the UAB Blazers lead our Volunteers news for Monday, Nov. 4, 2019.

Things continue to look up for the Tennessee Vols football program, as they are now one game away from .500 after a horrendous start to the season. Meanwhile, as they continue to turn things around, basketball season is set to begin this week, making it a very exciting time in Vol Nation.

Our morning update on Rocky Top continues with the aftermath, though, of the huge win UT scored over the weekend. Okay, so it was still against the UAB Blazers. But hey, it was total domination over a team that entered the game 6-1, so it has to count for something.

Anyway, we bring you all the postgame coverage from that game. Meanwhile, there’s a men’s basketball story that hit over the weekend and is bad news for the school. We’ll cover that along with numerous other recaps. But let’s start with the football postgame.

Following a dominating 30-7 win over the UAB Blazers, Tennessee Vols football head coach met with the media Saturday night. Here’s a bit of what he said.

"“I thought defensively we really changed the game with turnovers in the first half. Gave us the opportunity to put some really some alley-oops as far as scores on the board there. With short fields, felt like we won the field-position battle there in the first half which really helped. Wasn’t very pleased with the last drive of the half, defensively in the second half. Gave some young guys some opportunity there and we didn’t execute very well. And that part we have to improve there.”"
