Stocks are soaring for Tennessee football right now. Here is our report on the value of different Volunteers after their week 10 win over the UAB Blazers.
By some measures, last Saturday may have been the best win of the season for Tennessee football. The UAB Blazers are the only team they have beaten all season that currently have a winning record, and that has to count for something.
Of course, UAB’s schedule has been atrocious, but the Vols do also have two Power Five wins, and they did dominate the Blazers. Simply put, after two losses to Group of Five programs to start the season, the stock value of Rocky Top is clearly significantly higher than it was at this time at the beginning of the season.
As a result, our stock report overall on Tennessee football continues to make it hard to find out which groups are falling. Compared to the beginning of the year, everything is on the rise. But on a week to week basis, a few things are down.
That’s what we’re going to try to look at here. With a slate of three SEC games to close the season, two of which are on the road, the Vols will need to quickly address what’s falling for them if they want to fully complete the turnaround in Jeremy Pruitt’s second season.
Remember, they are still 4-5 and 2-3 in the SEC. So they either need to beat the Missouri Tigers or Kentucky Wildcats on the road to get to a bowl game. And that’s assuming they are able to beat the Vanderbilt Commodores at home to close out the year.
As usual with these reports, we’ll break them down into which stocks are clearly rising and clearly falling, but we’ll also give you what to buy and sell. Buying and selling is based more on who looks deceptively good or bad right now.
But who falls into that category? And what does it mean for Rocky Top going forward? Let’s break that all down here. This is our Tennessee football stock report following the Vols’ 30-7 win over the UAB Blazers in Week 10 of 2019.
