If Tennessee football allows certain Vandy weapons go off Saturday, they could be in trouble. Here are five players the Volunteers need to watch out for.

With one more game left to play, Tennessee football is looking to end its frustrating three-game losing streak to the Vanderbilt Commodores. They aren’t supposed to ever have such a losing streak to Vandy, and the focus for them this week is all about finally restoring balance to what they don’t even want to call a rivalry.

Lots of factors could impact how this plays out, but what is clear is that the Vols simply can’t afford to ignore Vandy. Despite how bad they have been this year, with a 3-8 record, they will always be ready to play Rocky Top.

As a result, you can bet they’ll throw everything they have at the Vols in an attempt to win this game. For the sake of his future, Derek Mason would significantly benefit from another win just so he could continue to have something to sell to fans heading into his seventh season.

So yes, this is a dangerous game. Tennessee football will have to make sure its ready. And to do that they have to keep an eye on certain key players who have shown an ability to give opponents serious trouble in the past.

We continue our seasonal coverage with our last post in the regular season detailing which players on the opposing team Vol fans need to watch out for. Despite Vanderbilt’s struggles, they do have some key weapons.

If Jeremy Pruitt’s team is going to make sure it finishes the season 7-5, they will have to watch out for those weapons. Otherwise, despite being bowl eligible, they will have to settle for 6-6 and a much lesser bowl than they could reach.

But which players are we talking about? Who looks like this much of a threat to Rocky Top? Let’s break that down here. These are the five Vanderbilt Commodores Vols fans should watch out for when they visit Tennessee football on Saturday.
