Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 887. Linebacker. Sophomore. Dimitri Moore. 3. player

As the Daniel Bituli of the Vanderbilt Commodores’ defense, Dimitri Moore is going to be all over the field when he visits Tennessee football on Saturday. And the Vols have to do everything within their power to not let him become an elite playmaker if they are going to be in control of this game from start to finish without any scares.

At 6’3″ 230 pounds, Moore is a very good defender and knows how to be effective in coverage and when it comes to stopping the run. He leads the team with 88 tackles on the year, 44 of which are solo, and he also has six tackles for a loss, half a sack and three pass deflections. By the way, as a sophomore, he’s only going to get better as well.

This is a build off of his 84 tackles, three and a half tackles for a loss and a sack his freshman season. Simply put, he’s the heart and soul of the defense as a sophomore, and what he does will dictate what the team as a whole does.

Against the Northern Illinois Huskies, he had seven tackles and two tackles for a loss, and he then came away with 11 tackles, half a tackle for a loss and a pass deflection against the Missouri Tigers. So in Power Five wins, he has stepped up his game. But he’s been consistent all year, which is why he’s a key player on here.
