As the Volunteers get set to honor their seniors this week, here is a look back at the best moment each of them had for Tennessee football.

On Saturday, Tennessee football will recognize its senior class against the Vanderbilt Commodores. This group has been through a lot, from being in the top 10 in 2016 to the worst season of the modern era in 2017 to a chaotic coaching transition at the end of that year through a rocky rebuilding period during the Jeremy Pruitt era.

But through it all, they have managed to generate lots of memorable moments. Over the past few years, there is no denying the fact that despite the Vols’ struggles, they have managed to pull out some impressive wins. And in the process, they generated some great moments.

This senior class took part in a lot of those moments with Tennessee football. Although they may not finish their careers on Rocky Top with any championship rings or trophies, those memories will never go away.

In this post, as we get set to honor the seniors, we owe this class the dignity of remembering those moments. So we’re going to take a look at the greatest play that each individual senior had during his career. We will also rank them in general by how memorable they were.

Technically, the Vols have 14 players listed as seniors on their roster. Darrin Kirkland Jr., who was forced into early retirement, is a 15th senior and will run through the T Saturday. We will count him on this list. However, Brandon Kennedy is seeking a sixth year of eligibility, so he won’t count on this list.

Meanwhile, Emmit Gooden, Baylen Buchanan, Brandon Johnson and Carlin Fils-Aime are all taking redshirts and should be back next year. As a result, we’re leaving them off the list too. This day is about the class of seniors who won’t be back next year, and there are 10 of those.

All of them, even the minor performers, have had plays they will never forget. Let’s break those down here. This is the greatest moment on Rocky Top for all 10 members of Tennessee football’s senior class who will be honored on Saturday and won’t be back next year.
