Wide Receiver. Senior. Jauan Jennings. 3. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 839

We could make a case for Jauan Jennings to be on any list, but he certainly belongs when facing the Vanderbilt Commodores. After all, if you look at the way they have lost games, despite Derek Mason’s area of expertise, it has clearly been due to big weapons coming through against opposition offenses. And it often comes from one spot: wide receiver.

Vanderbilt has allowed two receivers to go for over 200 yards against it on the year. Th Commodores allowed two-more 100-plus yard receivers along with a 95-yard receiver. Then they allowed Lynn Bowden Jr. of the Kentucky Wildcats, a receiver, to play quarterback and pass and rush for over 100 yards each.

Simply put, receivers dominating the game is the method to beat Vanderbilt. And Tennessee football is lucky enough to have such a receiver. Jennings has been the playmaker for Rocky Top all year, and the 6’3″ 208-pound fifth-year senior will be looking to go out with a bang in his final home game on Rocky Top.

Marquez Callaway could have been on this list, but Jennings is the ultimate go-to playmaker. As a result, we have him as the key receiver for the Vols in this game, and as a result, he’s the key player. Callaway or one of the running backs may be it, but Jennings is most likely. He’s been a dominant playmaker for the Vols all year.
