Through the ups and downs of their careers, 2019 Volunteers seniors had many great games for Tennessee football. Here’s the greatest for each of them.

We know what they had to go through. From the worst season in school history to a disastrous coaching change to a rough start to this season, Tennessee football seniors have dealt with a lot over the past few years.

However, as Jeremy Pruitt’s second season is drawing to a close, they have all played a role in helping to set the standard for the future of the Vols. And for that, they deserve their moment of recognition on Saturday.

There are 10 players for Tennessee football who will be honored on Senior Day against the Vanderbilt Commodores and have also run out of eligibility to play for next year. Sure, technically 14 are being honored, but we aren’t including seniors taking a redshirt who can return next year. We will include Darrin Kirkland Jr., who was forced into early retirement, on this list, though.

Each of them, through these rough years, didn’t just have a memorable moment, which we have already detailed. They also had a memorable game, sometimes multiple memorable games. And almost all of them have a game on their resume that the Vols would not have won without them.

In honor of these 10 seniors, we are going to look back at each of their greatest games individually. This is different from their greatest moment, as they actually had to play well throughout the game.

As we did with the moments, though, we will rank the games by how impressive they were individually. Stat lines matter, but the quality of the opponent can also come into play. We’re taking everything into account here.

What’s clear is that despite no championships, these seniors helped orchestrate many memorable games for Rocky Top. It’s impossible to take away from what they were able to do. So let’s go ahead and remember some of these legendary performances. This is a look back at the greatest game each Vols senior had with Tennessee football.
