Hawai’i Rainbow Warriors at No. 19 Boise State Broncos

Mountain West Conference Championship Game

Line: Boise State -14; Over/Under: 64.5; TV: ESPN

Saturday, Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. ET; Albertsons Stadium; Boise, Idaho

Hey, if the Cincinnati Bearcats upset the Memphis Tigers, the Boise State Broncos could end up being the team that makes the New Years Six bowl game. After all, they are 11-1, and Cincinnati and Memphis would then have two losses each. So don’t count out what they do in the Mountain West title game.

In his sixth season as head coach, Bryan Harsin has this program rolling the way Chris Petersen did. Their only loss was a heartbreaker to the BYU Cougars, and the Vols and USC Trojans know about heartbreakers to BYU all too well. Still, these guys could redeem themselves with a big win on Saturday afternoon.

Getting set to face them are the Hawai’i Rainbow Warriors, who are not missing Norm Chow being in their fourth year under head coach Nick Rolovich. Hawai’i is 9-4 this year and has a chance at a 10-win season, which would be a huge deal.

Prediction

Well, this is one big line that’s probably right. Boise State already beat Hawai’i this year 59-37. The Rainbow Warriors backed into the title game with a 5-3 conference record. Since it’s in Boise again, take the Broncos to win and cover in another shootout. So they hit the over as well.

Boise State: 48 Hawai’i: 31 (Boise State -14; Over 64.5)
