From 2010 through 2019, Tennessee football has had lots of the best talent. Here are the 10 greatest Volunteers for 2010-19.

Note: This is part of a series of posts recapping the decade for Tennessee football, Tennessee basketball, Tennessee women’s basketball and other Tennessee Vols-related topics.

A decade that saw Tennessee football suffer six losing seasons, miss a bowl game five times, never win a championship and only finish in the top 25 once was one of the worst in school history. But that’s not the only story of the decade.

Lots of players fought through that frustration and never stopped giving their all for Tennessee throughout the 2010s, and they deserve lots of praise for how they stuck it out. They will also go down in Rocky Top history as great Vol legends. So it’s time they get their recognition for what they contributed to the university.

In this post, we’re going to count down the best players of the decade for the Vols. These guys stood out in huge ways at different times for UT. Believe it or not, we had a hard time narrowing this list down, and we still left quality talent off the list by going to 10.

Our criteria include at how great a player was at a specific point in time, but it also takes into account four-year accomplishments. After all, we’re analyzing greatest Vols this decade. So players who were part of the program for a full four years or at least stayed until they were seniors get a boost.

Not all of these players became NFL stars, and sometimes, they didn’t receive the regional or national recognition they deserved. But they still all made their way onto this list for their production and in many cases their leadership.

So who are the standout Vols of the 2010s. Which ones earned their way onto this list? Let’s break them down here and give them the respect they deserve. These are the top 10 Tennessee football players from 2010 to 2019.
