For the first time in three years, Tennessee football is back in a bowl game. Here is our preview for all 39 games, including the Volunteers.

Both we and Tennessee football are looking to put exclamation points on years that had very rough starts. Unlike the Vols, however, we also finished in disastrous fashion, so we need the bowl season a hack of a lot more.

Only bowl games are left, and we are limping into them. In fact, if we were being judged on a regular season alone, we would not be somebody that could even earn a postseason bid. It’s been that bad.

But now there’s one final chance, and it’s our best chance to either finish ahead or lose a ton of money in the process. Before getting to that, let’s take a look at how we did during the conference championship week.

Record for Conference Championship predictions straight-up: 7-3

Gambling Record:  7-13

Against the spread: 6-4

On the Over/Under: 1-9

As it has been doing all year, the over/under killed us. We just can’t seem to hit the right note on that. Anyway, with that, here’s how we’re looking for the entire season heading into the bowl games after that disaster.

Overall record for predictions straight-up: 117-28

Gambling Record: 121-135-4

Against the spread: 69-58-3

On the Over/Under: 52-77-1

Okay, so here we go. We’re 14 games under .500. But we still have a chance to hit 52 percent. There are 39 bowl games plus the national title. We’ll pick all of them, giving us 80 gambling picks, nearly one-third of what we did the whole season. Since 52.4 percent is what we need to make money, we need to ball out and go 55-25 in these games.

Yes, that seems like a ton. And it would require lots of luck. But it’s our only chance to effectively hit the profit number. So let’s get started. As usual we will pick the bowl games in the order that they are scheduled to play.

However, we will save the New Years Six bowl games until the end, picking the four consolation ones in order first and then the two College Football Playoff games. We’ll close with Tennessee football’s matchup. Meanwhile, once the playoff games are finished, will come back here and add our national title pick at the end of the slide.

As usual, all our betting lines are based off of what’s provided by Action Sports Network when we do the picks. So we’ve got lots of picking to do, and it’s time to get started. Here are our predictions for Tennessee football and every other bowl game.
