With their 28-10 win over the Vanderbilt Commodores to finish the 2019 regular season at 7-5, Tennessee football concluded the 2010s decade right at .500, 62-62. That’s not the standard Vol Nation expects, but it’s better than finishing under .500, which would be historically bad given the prestige of this program.
It’s worth noting that a 3-1 bowl record helped Tennessee football get to that point, and their fourth bowl game of seasons this decade will be played on 2020, the start of the next decade. So they are safely at .500 and not in danger of falling below that record.
