Tennessee basketball vs. Jacksonville State: Vols live stream, time, TV and radio
Coming off a loss to the Cincinnati Bearcats, Tennessee basketball hosts the Jacksonville State Gamecocks. Here is our UT Volunteers against JSU preview.
Rick Barnes has missed out on his 700th win each of the last two games. Now, Tennessee basketball is back in Knoxville this Saturday afternoon hoping to finally get that milestone in its final game before Christmas.
The Vols’ last two losses were at home to the Memphis Tigers in heartbreaking fashion and then on the road against the Cincinnati Bearcats. One was due to a horrendous offensive performance, and the other was due to a horrendous defensive performance.
Ranked No. 21 in both polls, UT is likely to be out of the ranking by next Monday regardless of what happens Saturday due to their current 7-3 record. Here is all the information you need for Tennessee basketball’s matchup.

Jacksonville State is led by fourth-year head coach Ray Harper, who directed them to three straight 20-win seasons his first three years there. However, losing five seniors from last year, including their two leading scorers, has made for a rough start to begin this season.
Right now, the Gamecocks are 4-7. Now, to be fair, three of their losses are on the road to the SMU Mustangs, VCU Rams and Purdue Boilermakers. They actually played in campus-site games in the Emerald Coast Classic, which UT also played in. Five of their seven losses are on the road in general, with their only losses at home coming to the Chattanooga Mocs and Troy Trojans.
After this game, Rocky Top will face the Wisconsin Badgers in a week, their final non-conference game before facing the LSU Tigers in two weeks at home to open up SEC play. So they at least get a bit of a rest, which somebody like Lamont Turner needs in order to get fully healthy.
