No. 14 Tennessee Volunteers win 38-28

A play to erase the most frustrating losing stream for Tennessee football this decade while also shutting up the biggest UT troll this decade could not have been left out. And it came thanks to the playmaker of playmakers on Rocky Top, Jauan Jennings. UT was hosting the Florida Gators and, despite being 3-0, had looked ugly to that point.

The Vols were also on an 11-game losing streak to UF and had blown three two-score second-half leads to lose by one in three of those games, including each of the past two years. Florida was also undefeated, though, and in this game, they built a 21-0 lead. So they were in control. However, this time, it was UT’s chance to fight back.

Down 21-3 at halftime, they made it 21-17 entering the fourth quarter. Then they got the ball back, and on 1st and 10, Jennings gave Teez Tabor a stutter-step making him fall. Tabor spent all offseason trolling the Vols and talking about how Florida owns him, so he was the perfect guy to do that to. Joshua Dobbs found Jennings wide open as a result.

Jennings, however, did bobble the pass at first, and there was a scare since UT receivers dropped numerous passes in the first half. But he held on and high-stepped down the sideline for a touchdown to give the Vols a fourth-quarter lead. They scored two more touchdowns and won 38-28, erasing years of frustration. But this touchdown was the play of the game.
