After a week off, Tennessee basketball is back on the court Saturday. Here is our preview for the Volunteers and the Wisconsin Badgers.

In their final regular season game of this decade, Tennessee basketball will be back in front of its home crowd Saturday afternoon for an SEC vs. Big Ten matchup. The Vols, who are 8-3, play their first game since last Saturday, when they blew out the Jacksonville State Gamecocks.

Coming to town are the Wisconsin Badgers, who are 6-5 and also haven’t played a game since last Saturday, when they beat Milwaukee 83-64. They are heading into town with a 6-5 record and looking to start a winning streak.

This is the first game for the Vols since the news of Lamonte Turner deciding to have season-ending shoulder surgery, ending his career on Rocky Top, and the arrival of midseason enrollee Santiago Vescovi. Here is everything you need to know about Tennessee basketball’s matchup with the Badgers.

This is Tennessee basketball’s final game before they begin SEC play, and that will come after another week off. They tip things off in the conference next Saturday with a road trip to the LSU Tigers, who finished one spot ahead of them in the regular season standings last year.

Wisconsin’s 6-5 record comes despite a 4-1 start in which they scored a quality win over their hated in-state rival, the Marquette Golden Eagles, and nearly beat the Saint Mary’s Gaels. Things were looking up.

However, they then suffered bad losses to the Richmond Spiders and New Mexico Lobos while also falling to the N.C. State Wolfpack and Rutgers Scarlet Knights on the road. Their only win since is over the Indiana Hoosiers.

If the Vols win, it’ll be a third quality win for them entering SEC play, as they will have beaten three teams in the Power Five or in the top 25 when they played them, two of whom fit each bill. That’s a great way for this young team to get some momentum heading into the conference season, which will be brutal without Turner.
