Running Back. New Orleans Saints. Alvin Kamara. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 3. player. 15

What has happened to Alvin Kamara? He’s not the same player that he was his first two years in the league, and it’s hard to believe he’s lost any step or teams have figured him out. Speed backs like Kamara have always been perfect fits for Sean Payton’s system, so it’s hard to accept that he just can’t be the same impact player.

To be fair, we’re saying this all as he had 55 total yards from scrimmage and a touchdown in the New Orleans Saints’ loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Those aren’t dominating stats, but they aren’t stats that make you fully turn your back on a guy either. Kamara is clearly finding ways to still be productive even if he’s not putting up epic fantasy numbers.

Another point we could make is that there’s a chance he’s being underutilized the way he was back in his Tennessee football days. After all, he only had seven carries in the game and ran for 21 yards in the process. Why not give him the ball more?

On the other hand, in the passing game, he did have eight catches and only went for 34 yards. That means he was not able to break away from guys and outrun them the way he has been able to in the past. As a result, we have him in the middle of the pack on this list, but everybody expected him to be at the top.
