Minnesota Vikings. 2. player. Pick Analysis. 60. Scouting Report. Punter. Britton Colquitt

While Dustin Colquitt was good in a win, his brother, Britton Colquitt, was even greater in a loss. During the divisional round, these two did their part to make sure Tennessee football maintains the title of Punter U in the NFL, as they were great on the night. But Britton Colquitt was a star for the Minnesota Vikings.

Sure, this team lost to the San Francisco 49ers 27-10. They didn’t really belong anywhere near the same field. However, Colquitt wasn’t the problem, as he had six punts and averaged 48.3 yards per punt. Three of those punts pinned the 49ers inside the 20-yard line, and one of them went for an astounding 61 yards.

What more could anybody want? By the way, Colquitt’s 61-yarder was not among the ones that pinned San Francisco inside the 20. One of those punts pinned the 49ers inside the 10-yard line. Now, he did have one bad punt, which went for 34 yards, and it was his first punt. But outside of that, he was pretty great.

Put Colquitt in there with Zach Fulton and Morgan Cox as guys who had solid nights in losses. The Colquitt brothers and Cox show how well the Vols were represented when it came to special teams this past weekend as well. But Britton Colquitt clearly had the second-best performance of any former Vol, even if he did have one mistake. Everything else was just too good.
