Tennessee Lady Vols vs. Alabama: Live stream, game time, TV and radio info
In the midst of a three-game winning streak, the Tennessee Lady Vols will host the Alabama Crimson Tide. Here is our women’s basketball Volunteers preview.
As they cling to their top 25 rankings, the Tennessee Lady Vols are back home Monday night looking to end a brutal losing streak. Kellie Harper will be attempting to do what Holly Warlick couldn’t do in her final five chances: beat the Alabama Crimson Tide.
A series that saw UT win 42 straight from 1984 to 2016 has now seen the Tide win five straight, which includes an SEC Tournament matchup in 2017 and a game at Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville in 2018. They will now be looking to end that streak at home Monday night.
Ranked No. 24 in the AP Poll and No. 25 in the Coaches Poll, Rocky Top brings a 14-3 record and 4-1 SEC record into the game, and they have won three straight coming off a 78-50 win at the Florida Gators. Here is all the information you need for the Tennessee Lady Vols’ matchup.

The Tide are still trying to reach their first NCAA Tournament under seventh-year head coach Kristy Curry. They came close with 20-plus wins in 2016-2017 and 2017-2018, but they only made the Women’s NIT both times, and last year they fell to 14-17.
This year, things looked up with a 10-3 start in non-conference play. However, they lost their first three SEC games. Still, they head into Knoxville coming off a 75-48 win over the Auburn Tigers on the road, so they can be dangerous at 11-6 overall despite their 1-3 conference record.
Considering their recent history of dominating UT, there is plenty of reason for Harper’s team to be concerned. Alabama can be dangerous, and of their three conference losses, one is on the road to the LSU Tigers, and the other two are against ranked teams, the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Kentucky Wildcats.
Simply put, this is a solid test for the Tennessee Lady Vols before they get set to restore the greatest rivalry in women’s college basketball Thursday, a huge matchup against the UConn Huskies. That makes it challenging to avoid looking ahead of this game, but they have to do it.
