An interview with Tennessee Vols Athletic Director Phillip Fulmer by The Tennessean leads our Volunteers news for Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020.

On the heels of a couple of extremely heavy news days surrounding the Tennessee Vols, we come into Thursday with things lightening up a bit. However, the news that is related to UT is extremely intriguing, making it still worth covering.

Our morning update on Rocky Top leads with a conversation around Phillip Fulmer. He’s been on the job for two years and two months now in his new role, and he recently discussed everything about his life connected to Vol Nation ever since his firing.

Beyond Fulmer, there is some national recognition in women’s basketball to bring you. That and a women’s basketball preview are both on the list, and we’ll close things out with our continuing coverage of a swimming and diving event. But let’s start with Fulmer.

Lady Vols to visit Arkansas – Maria M. Cornelius, GoVols247

In their final chance to get a second quality win, the Tennessee Lady Vols travel to the No. 22/25 ranked Arkansas Razorbacks Thursday night. Right now, at 17-8 and 7-5 in the SEC, UT is on a four-game losing streak and only has one quality win, at home against the LSU Tigers. Arkansas, at 20-5 and 8-4 in the SEC, would be a huge win for them.

"Arkansas has crossed the 100-point mark in its last two games with wins over Kentucky and Ole Miss. The Razorbacks and the Lady Vols are playing for better postseason seeding with four games left in the regular season."
