Pick Analysis. Athlete. Jimmy Holiday. Scouting Report. Flora, Miss.. 5. player. 839

He’s only a three-star on Rivals, but Jimmy Holiday brings multiple things to the table for Tennessee football. Those multiple things are what put the 6’1″ 180-pound prospect out of Madison Central High School in Mississippi on the list as a guy who could definitely see action before many other recruits in this class.

For starters, let’s not forget what makes Holiday only a three-star. He’s an athlete who can play quarterback or wide receiver. Not standing out in one position is probably what kept him from being a four-star. However, that’s a plus for him here, as he has two chances, maybe three if he moved to defensive back, to see the field.

Beyond that, one of those positions, wide receiver, is his most likely position, and that role has clear openings with the losses of Marquez Callaway and Jauan Jennings. Quarterback also may be a bit of a question, even if Jarrett Guarantano is by far the clear favorite to start there entering the 2020 offseason.

Finally, you have to look at Holiday’s credentials. He ran a sub-4.4 40-time in high school, and he is an early enrollee. Raw speed and the chance to gain experience this spring give him a huge advantage. Those two things helped put him on this list in a major way, as no other recruit in this class is proven to have either of them.
