Tennessee Lady Vols vs. Vanderbilt: Live stream, time, TV, radio
Looking to end a five-game losing streak, the Tennessee Lady Vols host the Vanderbilt Commodores Sunday. Here is our women’s basketball Volunteers preview.
If you’re on a major skid, what better way to end it then facing the last team you beat? That’s the task ahead for the Tennessee Lady Vols as they get set to host the Vanderbilt Commodores Sunday afternoon.
Kellie Harper’s team has lost five in a row, all to teams either in the top 25 of the RPI, the top 25 of the AP Poll or both. Those losses knocked them to the NCAA Tournament bubble, and at 17-9 and 7-6 in the SEC, they are now on the outside looking in.
Their last win, however, was against this Vanderbilt team on the road. So with three games left, this is a chance for them to get back on track. Here is all the information you need for today’s Tennessee Lady Vols matchup.

Vanderbilt comes in with a 13-13 record and 3-10 SEC record. They lost to Rocky Top at home by a score of 78-69 at the end of January. Currently, they are on a three-game losing streak, and they are coming off a horrible loss at home to the Missouri Tigers. So by all accounts, UT should be predicted to win this game, but nothing is guaranteed.
Given all their recent losses, the Lady Vols will only end the regular season with one quality win, against the LSU Tigers at home. That’s because they have no quality opponents left, as they host the Ole Miss Rebels and visit the Auburn Tigers after this game. All three of these opponents are outside of the top 100 of the RPI.
As a result, if they are going to make a case to be in the NCAA Tournament, they need to win all three games for sure and then probably score at least one quality win in the SEC Tournament. Otherwise, it will be hard for the Tennessee Lady Vols to sell themselves belonging in the Big Dance this year. That certainly makes this game important.
