Pick Analysis. Tight End. 839. Scouting Report. 4-star. Hudson Wolfe. 8. player

This past year, Tennessee football lost Dominick Wood-Anderson to graduation. Austin Pope will be gone after this upcoming year. However, Jeremy Pruitt did such a good job recruiting this position that the Vols will still have options in 2021 with guys like Princeton Fant, Jacob Warren, Sean Brown and Jackson Lowe.

Still, you should never go two full years without recruiting a position, and that includes tight end. As a result, the Vols should take advantage of the top tight end in the nation who happens to be the top player in their own state. They actually have two four-star tight ends, but Jake Briningstool out of Ravenwood Academy in Brentwood has already committed to the Clemson Tigers.

So to avoid another Dabo Swinney steal, which he has been doing a lot to Rocky Top in recent years, the Vols need to keep guys like Hudson Wolfe in the state. And Wolfe is a great talent. Obviously a four-star on Rivals, he’s the No. 38 ranked player in the nation, coming out of Hardin County High School in Savannah, Tenn.

Simply put, Wolfe is a rare prospect at 6’6″ 235 pounds. Currently, the Vols are the favorite to land him by a majority on the Rivals FanFutureCast. However, the Alabama Crimson Tide are the favorite on the Rivals FutureCast, and 247Sports has only the Tide trending for him. So UT has some serious work to do to keep him.
