With three losses in their last four games, Tennessee basketball hosts the Florida Gators Saturday. Here is our preview for the Volunteers.

In the midst of a two-game losing streak, Tennessee basketball is looking to make an unlikely run in their final three games to back into the NCAA Tournament. It starts with a tough game at home Saturday against a very quality opponent.

The Vols will host the Florida Gators Saturday afternoon. Rick Barnes has a 4-1 record against Mike White since the two coaches both took over their respective schools in 2015-2016, and he will look to make it a fifth win.

At 15-13 and 7-8 in the SEC, UT has an uphill climb to reach the conversation for the Big Dance. But winning this game would be a start. Here is all the information you need for Tennessee basketball’s matchup.

Florida Gators at Tennessee Volunteers

At 18-10 and 10-5 in the SEC, Florida comes in as a top 40 RPI team. They are likely locked in for an NCAA Tournament bid right now, but that could change if they collapse down the stretch. White’s team heads into this game coming off a huge 15-point win over the LSU Tigers. However, they are 3-4 on the road in league play and 3-6 on the road overall.

That could be enough to give Rocky Top some confidence heading into this one. After all, despite losing three of four, all three of those losses were on the road for Barnes’ team. Back at home against a head coach they have never lost to at home should put them in a good situation.

Up next for Tennessee basketball will be a trip to the Kentucky Wildcats and then the Auburn Tigers at home to close out the season. So they have some very real chances at quality wins to build up their resume for an NCAA Tournament conversation before the SEC Tournament begins. But they first have to make sure they win this game.
