Tennessee Lady Vols SEC Tournament preview vs. Missouri: Live stream, time, TV
In the second round of the 2020 SEC Tournament, the Tennessee Lady Vols face the Missouri Tigers. Here is our women’s basketball Volunteers preview.
After finishing the regular season with one quality win but no bad losses, the Tennessee Lady Vols enter the SEC Tournament at 20-9 and 10-6 in the SEC, good for a No. 6 seed in league play. They also begin play somewhat on the bubble but likely in when it comes to the recent NCAA Tournament projections.
Kellie Harper’s first team will try to at least keep hitting pars against subpar opponents in their first conference tourney game, as they face the Missouri Tigers Thursday night in Greenville, S.C. The winner of this game will face the Kentucky Wildcats Friday night.
As a result, if they win Thursday, UT is almost certain to take a resume with no bad losses to the selection committee, which will be a big deal for a young team. Here is all the information you need for the Tennessee Lady Vols’ tournament matchup.

Missouri was the SEC opener in the regular season for the Lady Vols, and UT won that game at home 77-66. The Tigers come into this game with a 9-21 record overall and 5-11 SEC regular season record under 10th-year head coach Robin Pingeton. As a No. 11 seed in the tournament, they beat the Ole Miss Rebels 64-53 Wednesday night.
Not only would a win assure Rocky Top no bad losses on the year, but it would also give this team a chance at a second quality win. Currently, their only quality win is at home over the LSU Tigers. However, beating Kentucky, whom they only lost to by four on the road during the regular season, would be a great opportunity for them Friday night.
Before that, though, they have to get past Mizzou. After all, the Tennessee Lady Vols barely beat the Auburn Tigers on the road to close out the season, so they have been struggling with lesser opponents. Getting past the Tigers is huge. Then they can focus on the opportunity Kentucky provides. Beating both would almost make them a lock for the NCAA Tournament.
