Honestly, Jauan Jennings needs to go to a franchise with more competent management that recognizes talent better in this year’s NFL Draft. Again, his production with Tennessee football is what matters, but the Washington Redskins, under the leadership of Dan Snyder, seem like just the type of team to overvalue physical attributes like that.

However, the Redskins have multiple needs at receiver. And with new head coach Ron Rivera, providing Dwayne Haskins, or potentially another quarterback, with more weapons will be a main focus. At least two new receivers need to be added into the rotation, and there is also a need for a tight end. In a way, Jennings can fill all three roles.

Obviously, Jennings can be a No. 1 option, and he can also be a slot option who provides a major size advantage in the red zone. But as part of that slot option, he helps at least offset a void at tight end, particularly on the receiving side of things. Taking all of that into account, it’s clear that Jennings could play multiple roles in D.C., and he would be part of a franchise starting fresh.

Meanwhile, it’s very clear the Redskins are looking for size at the position to complement Terry McLaurin. Add in the fact that Jennings has a solid history of being a playmaker, a winner and a leader, a few things a franchise with a history of losing like the Redskins needs, and he is a great pickup for this team. The only question is if they would use him right.
