4. team. 31. . . . New York Giants

There are too many connections to the SEC Tennessee football for the New York Giants not to be an option. Former Vols head coach Derek Dooley is the most notable guy on Joe Judge’s new staff. He was most recently the Missouri Tigers’ offensive coordinator and saw Jauan Jennings help Jarrett Guarantano throw for over 400 yards in Columbia first-hand.

Beyond Dooley, though, Kevin Sherrer is on the staff. He was UT’s inside linebackers coach this past year, so he also had a front row seat to what Jennings was able to do throughout the season. Then there’s Freddie Kitchens. He was fired by the Cleveland Browns, but he is close with Jeremy Pruitt, and as a member of this offensive staff, he could be an advocate for Jennings.

There is also a needs factor for the Giants. Just like the Washington Redskins, they have a need at wide receiver and tight end. With Darius Slayton and Golden Tate on the roster, the franchise already has enough speed at the position. They will clearly be looking for a big guy who can leap and catch difficult passes in order to complement that.

Obviously, Jennings is the perfect fit as a result. Overall, the Redskins probably have more needs, giving Jennings more opportunities to play, but the Giants appear to be a more competently run organization. As a result, they are the NFC East team that would be a better landing spot for him in the 2020 NFL Draft, and they may even deserve a higher spot on this list.
