53. . . . Cleveland Browns. 5. team

They actually have safety higher on their list than most other teams on here. But competency, as we said, is an issue when it comes to these organizations, and while Nigel Warrior would be filling a need, he probably wouldn’t want to trust anything by this organization. However, there are things working in his favor.

New defensive coordinator Joe Woods was the defensive backs coach of the San Francisco 49ers just last year. As a result, he saw Emmanuel Moseley first-hand. Moseley was an undrafted Tennessee football cornerback and has blossomed into a full-time starter. He played a huge role in helping that team to the Super Bowl. Woods might then give Moseley’s teammate a look.

On top of that, both safeties, Karl Joseph and Andrew Sendejo, have signed one-year contracts. That means Cleveland is clearly going to be looking for another one in this year’s NFL Draft, and any safety who gets a look from them will have a real chance to compete for a roster spot. They’ll likely want to groom a couple under those guys this year, and Warrior could be one of those guys.

Taking all of that into account, Cleveland would be a solid place for Warrior to end up. There’s no telling how that franchise turns out, but at least it’s a place where Warrior could break through and become a household name. At that point, if the Browns remain the Browns, he could go anywhere. The key for him right now is just getting a chance to ink a solid contract.
