team. 15. . . . New Orleans Saints. 3

Okay, now we get to the organizations of competence. In the Superdome, the New Orleans Saints have been able to build their defenses for speed over the years, and that means giving a major look at defensive backs. On top of that, they found a steal in a former Tennessee football player, a teammate of Nigel Warrior’s in Alvin Kamara already. Why not find another one?

One of the notable parts of the Saints is that it is loaded with veterans, but they are looking for guys to groom for the future in this year’s NFL Draft. Warrior is a perfect fit for that, as his fundamentals and development is what made him such an incredible player for the Vols down the stretch of this past season. The situation at safety is even better for the former Vol.

Malcolm Jenkins is locked in through 2023, but Marcus Williams’ contract is up after this year. That means the Saints will be paying close attention to overlooked guys who could develop in the future. Warrior could get that look this year, become a rotational player the next year and then be ready to make a huge impact by his third year if everything works out in New Orleans.

Being from Atlanta, just like Warrior, might make Dennis Allen more inclined to give the guy a look as well. He may not about Warrior and his family, including his superstar father. What’s clear, though, with the way the Saints operate, is that Warrior would certainly get a fair shake to compete if he went to New Orleans, and that’s all he can ask for.
