49ers give Jauan Jennings T.O.’s number

All of a sudden, expectations are reigning down on Jauan Jennings. The seventh-round draft pick was given a number that Terrell Owens and Anquan Boldin both wore when they played for the San Francisco 49ers.

Medical check delaying Daniel Bituli’s NFL deal

Five former Vols landed with teams over the weekend, with Darrell Taylor and Jauan Jennings being drafted and then Marquez Callaway, Nigel Warrior and Dominick Wood-Anderson signing NFL deals. However, Daniel Bituli was absent from the list of signees. According to reports, it’s due to a medical check that he needs to clear.

Darrell Taylor, Pete Carroll and Seahawks GM all talk NFL Draft selection

After he was taken by the Seattle Seahawks with the 48th pick in the draft, edge rusher Darrell Taylor talked about the process. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll and General Manager John Schneider both talked about selecting him as well.

Vols match longest first-round drought since 1977

With nobody taken on the opening night of the 2020 NFL Draft, Tennessee football has now gone three full years without having a player taken in the first round. They’ve only done that one other time dating back to 1977.
